Spectrum Glassware: The Story Behind the Kiki, Mila, and Zuzu

When I created Spectrum Glassware, it wasn’t just about selling glassware—it was about inspiring and connecting with young women of color on a journey of awareness and empowerment. Our curated, skin-toned glassware collection of Kiki, Mila, and Zuzu wine glasses, is more than beautiful decor; it symbolizes family, support, and community strength.

Each piece is inspired by my own support system. The Kiki glass, with its darkest tone, is named after my husband, representing the strength and steady support he’s always given me, especially during my breast cancer treatment. The Mila, our midtone, represents one of my daughters and embodies warmth and resilience. Finally, the Zuzu, our lightest tone, symbolizes the joy and hope my other daughter brings to my life.

These wine glasses aren’t just an accessory—they’re a meaningful reminder of the love and resilience we get from those who hold us up. During my breast cancer journey, my community’s support, through texts, calls, and visits, was my anchor. So, whenever someone buys a piece from Spectrum Glassware, I hope it serves as a beautiful, everyday reminder of the importance of their own support systems.

At Spectrum Glassware, we want every sip to inspire joy, connection, and gratitude for the people in our lives. Our mission is to connect with women of color in a way that honors their journey, their community, and their strength.
